Beth Oldrich

Beth Oldrich is the reason thousands of people call themselves "book folders" today. A middle school teacher and former Peace Corps volunteer, she looked at a complex art form and saw a barrier. She decided to tear it down.

Her philosophy is simple: "Joy without frustration." Through her brand, Patterny Books, she standardized how patterns are read. She introduced color-coded guides, mistake-proof methods, and a teaching style that feels like a warm conversation. Her book, *"Book Folding for Beginners and Beyond"*, is the definitive textbook for the craft.

Beyond the page, Beth built a digital home for folders worldwide. She founded the massive "Book Folding for Beginners and Beyond" community on Facebook and YouTube, creating a welcoming space for anyone to ask questions, share photos, and find support.
